Liverpool Fans Compare Ragnar Klavanwith Martin Skrtel
Liverpool fans have likened Ragnar Klavan as someone who is capable of committing silly mistakes like former defender Martin Skrtel.
Klavan was at fault for a recent goal conceded at Southampton. Both teams were up against each other in the EFL Cup semi-final looking to progress to the final of the competition. Liverpool reached the final last season only to be beaten by Manchester City. This was the second loss in a final for the team. Nathan Redmond scored the only goal of the game in the final few minutes to give Southampton a slender advantage in terms of the aggregate score.
However, this goal came as a result of an error from Klavan, who miskicked an effort and it allowed Redmond to get on the end. During his eight years at the club, Martin Skrtel transformed himself into one of the best defenders at the club. It was only after the arrival of Jurgen Klopp that his time at the club was cut short.
He was a regular first-team player for the club, although he was susceptible to the occasional lack of concentration. Skrtel has allowed opposition to score with some poor judgemental errors. More often than not, he has helped the club get back into the game with his ability to score from set pieces.
